A Safe, Happy and Caring School
Children enjoy coming to school because they feel safe, supported and valued. Ofsted recognised the positive relationships throughout the school, where pupils are cared for as individuals and wellbeing is a priority.
Keeping Children Safe
Safeguarding is effective and embedded in everything we do. Inspectors found an open and positive culture of safeguarding where keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility, and pupils say they feel safe in school.
A Love of Reading
Reading is one of our greatest strengths. From our Nursery onwards, children develop a love of books through expert phonics teaching and a carefully planned reading curriculum, becoming confident and enthusiastic readers by the end of Year 6.
High Expectations and Excellent Learning
Our ambitious curriculum is carefully designed from Nursery to Year 6, helping pupils build knowledge and skills over time while preparing them exceptionally well for the next stage of their education.
Excellent Early Years
Our Nursery and Reception classes provide children with the very best start. Rich learning environments, expert support for language development and an ambitious curriculum ensure children are ready to flourish in Key Stage 1.
Inclusion at the Heart of Everything We Do
Every child matters. Leaders know pupils well, quickly identify any barriers to learning and provide personalised support so that disadvantaged pupils and those with additional needs can succeed and thrive.
Strong Behaviour and Positive Relationships
Our pupils are kind, respectful and strive to do their best. Ofsted found that bullying is rare, concerns are dealt with promptly and effectively and pupils behave well and follow the high expectations that staff and leaders set.
Excellent Attendance
Children enjoy coming to school. Attendance is above national averages, with significantly fewer pupils persistently absent than seen nationally.
Enrichment Beyond the Classroom
Every child benefits from our 'Winnington Park Pledge', enjoying opportunities including music, cultural experiences, outdoor learning, clubs, leadership roles and residential visits that broaden horizons and build confidence.
